Primary
The role currently holding the greatest share of attention, responsibility, or professional identity. Choose one current center of gravity.
Companion guide · SOUL Quiz v2 · Five-door quick start
The quiz first opens one focused workspace for a nursing student, staff nurse, leader, educator, or licensed clinician. It then preserves optional secondary hats and the complete primary, supporting, emerging, and contextual role constellation through one Core SOUL.
The central idea
You may be a bedside nurse, preceptor, quality contributor, certification candidate, graduate student, entrepreneur, family caregiver, and wellness advocate at the same time. The quiz does not ask you to discard those identities. It asks how each one functions in this season.
The role currently holding the greatest share of attention, responsibility, or professional identity. Choose one current center of gravity.
A role that regularly changes how you work, learn, lead, collaborate, or decide.
A role or capability you are intentionally developing. It is not current authority.
A role active only in a specific project, organization, assignment, environment, or season.
How to answer
| Field | What to enter | What it never proves |
|---|---|---|
| Current role | What you actually do or carry now | Employment or appointment |
| Authorization | How scope, assignment, delegation, license, privilege, or supervision is defined | That the claim was verified here |
| Competence evidence | Whether capability is developing, supervised, practiced, or verified elsewhere | Independent competence |
| Confidence | How comfortable you feel today | Competence, readiness, or authority |
| Credential | Not claimed, in progress, aspirational, or reported | Credential validity |
| Emerging capability | What you are intentionally learning toward | A current role or permission |
| Aspiration | A desired future identity or outcome | Present authority |
The quiz flow
No PHI, no authority inference, no prohibited academic work, and accountable human judgment for consequential decisions.
Select nursing student, staff nurse, manager–leader–executive, educator–preceptor–mentor, or licensed clinician. This is a navigation choice, not a permanent identity, credential, competence finding, assignment, or authority grant.
Choose only from role-relevant goals. Project status is asked separately, so daily practice, learning, teaching, and professional work remain useful without a formal project.
Choose up to two complementary role doors during quick setup or skip them. One person keeps one identity and one account; the roles do not become disconnected profiles.
The local bundle includes Focused-Mission-Control.md with the selected workspace, mission, project posture, boundaries, first safe action, required human review, and a no-PHI artifact scaffold.
“Deepen my SOUL” opens the full 14-domain constellation, detailed role posture, shared Core SOUL, AI relationship, conditional modules, Advanced Studies, coordinated dashboards, and governed recommendations. Existing quick-start roles carry forward.
Download the Markdown bundle and optional v2 naio-soul.json. Installation or download does not create employer, school, privacy, security, regulatory, IRB, credentialing, or institutional approval.
Student and frontline-support lane
A person may be both a prelicensure nursing student and a Nursing Assistant, CNA, patient care technician, or healthcare assistant. The module records both while preserving different education pathways, employment duties, delegation, supervision, certifications, and authorized scope.
Program type and stage, clinical placement, simulation, supervised learning, entrance/progression, graduation, NCLEX, academic integrity, faculty and preceptor oversight.
Training or certification, employment setting, assigned responsibilities, delegated duties, authorized scope, chain of command, supervisor oversight, frontline caregiving contribution.
Cross-role growth
Activate Advanced Studies for certifications, recertification, continuing competency, degrees, residency or fellowship, formal specialization, leadership, education, research, informatics, AI, business, entrepreneurship, continuing education, or career transition.
The overlay connects the pathway to every role it serves. A nurse manager pursuing a doctorate may receive Unit Leadership and Operations, Advanced Studies and Certification, Graduate Degree and Research, Quality/Safety/Governance, and Wellness/Sustainability Mission Controls—all sharing one values system and capacity limit.
Examples
Likely dashboards: Bedside Clinical Command; Education and Mentorship; Quality, Safety, and Governance; Advanced Studies and Certification; Entrepreneurship and Business; Wellness and Personal Sustainability.
Likely dashboards: Prelicensure Student and Nursing Assistant Mission Control; Clinical Learning, Skills, and Simulation; Education, Certification, and NCLEX Preparation when applicable; Work-School-Wellness Coordination.
Results and review
Every dashboard shares the Core SOUL, values, long-term mission, approved memory, governance boundaries, goals, commitments, learning priorities, and wellness limits. Each dashboard may have its own context, tasks, agents, tools, permissions, risk level, data boundary, human-review rule, and performance indicators. “Mission Control” is an organizational view—not a credential, competence finding, approval, command authority, or separate personality.
All quiz outputs remain within a Green tier · D0/D1 only · Draft mode · no external action ceiling. Taking the quiz does not rank or propose a course of action and does not activate an agent, connector, memory rule, schedule, message, publication, transaction, automation, credential, or authority. The quiz provides self-described context; it is not a mechanical EDENA enforcement service.
