Explore the Nurse AI OS Ecosystem · A nurse-designed way to use the AI you already have

Use ChatGPT or Claude with a nurse-built kit.

Nurse AI OS gives you guided prompts, practical templates, local folders, and a personal values-and-boundaries file for using ChatGPT or Claude without handing over your judgment. Start on a phone, tablet, Chromebook, Mac, or Windows computer. Only optional Hermes requires a desktop.

No patient data. Core setup and self-customization are free forever.

A nurse holds a glowing lamp whose flame disperses into a constellation of connected data points — compassion joined to data science.

The plain answer

The governed professional environment for nursing AI work.

Nurse AI OS is the governed professional environment in which nursing applications, agents, models, knowledge, memory, tools, and workflows operate. The public doorway available today is intentionally practical: use the AI you already have with nurse-centered instructions, repeatable workflows, local files, and explicit safety boundaries.

Your SOUL file

A short values-and-boundaries file that tells AI what matters to you, how you want help, and what it must never take over.

Your workflow kit

Guided prompts, practical templates, role-based skills, and a local folder system for learning, planning, career growth, projects, and life admin.

Your safety rules

No patient data. No clinical decisions. No connection to employer systems. AI proposes; you review, decide, and remain accountable.

You do not need Hermes to begin. Start with ChatGPT or Claude in your browser. Files in the Starter Kit stay on your device unless you choose to paste or upload them; anything you share with ChatGPT or Claude is handled under that provider's privacy and data settings. Hermes is a free, open-source desktop AI agent from Nous Research. Add it later if you want AI to work with local folders, reusable skills, and tools you explicitly approve. It adds persistence and capability; it does not add clinical or institutional authority.

Definition is not activation

Three public states keep the architecture honest.

Available now

Public Community experience

Browser-first SOUL files, guided prompts, templates, local folders, role workflows, and safety practices for D0/D1 personal, learning, and professional work. No PHI and no external action.

Capability-gated

EDENA, Florence-X, memory, tools, and connectors

These become operational only where the specific capability is implemented, tested, evidenced, and activated. The public browser experience does not mechanically enforce every Florence-X or EDENA requirement across ChatGPT, Claude, Hermes, or other hosts. What exists today as published implementation evidence: a tested Integration Contract reference implementation with an EDENA policy-gateway prototype, five installable Mission Control role packets, and a fully synthetic healthcare sandbox.

Formal-gate programs

Credentials, institutions, conformance, and high-consequence use

Institutional and Sovereign editions, PHI eligibility, credentials, the Exchange, the Observatory, and NAIO Conformant require separate governance and authorization gates. They are not activated by a download, payment, badge, directive, or marketing page.

Category boundary: Nurse AI OS is not an EHR, not an autonomous clinician, not a licensing board, and not a substitute for institutional authority. Read the public Directive v1.1 status register →

Founding doctrine · Nurse AI OS

The Steward’s Charter

Why Nurse AI OS Exists

We are living through one of the great technological transformations in human history. Artificial intelligence will change how we learn, decide, communicate, and care — not someday, but within our careers.

The question is not whether AI will become part of nursing.

The question is what kind of nurses we choose to become because of it.

Nurse AI OS was built on a single conviction: technology should strengthen human judgment, never replace it.

Nurses have always been more than caregivers. We are advocates, educators, translators, and the final guardians of human dignity when people are most vulnerable.

No algorithm carries that responsibility. No machine holds a license. No model bears moral accountability.

We do.

That is why this platform exists.

It is not here to tell you what to think. It is here to help you learn.

It is not here to replace your experience. It is here to extend your capability.

It is not here to automate your humanity. It is here to protect it.

Our doctrine is simple, and it governs everything built here:

Agents propose.
Humans judge.
Nurses steward.

Every course, every tool, every agent on this platform answers to that line.

The future of healthcare will not be written by engineers, policymakers, and technology companies alone. It will be shaped by the nurses who choose to understand these tools before others decide how they should be used.

Our mission is not simply to teach AI. It is to cultivate wisdom in its use — to empower without diminishing compassion, to innovate without surrendering ethics, to embrace progress without abandoning judgment.

Nurses should not merely adapt to the future. We should help build it.

The ledger we keep

Our Commitment

As stewards in this community, we commit to:

  • Put people before technology.
  • Preserve human dignity in every interaction.
  • Exercise clinical judgment with humility and accountability.
  • Use AI transparently, ethically, and safely.
  • Remain lifelong learners in a changing world.
  • Share knowledge generously and strengthen one another.
  • Lead with courage when others hesitate.
  • Leave healthcare — and the world — better than we found it.

This is more than a learning platform. It is a community of stewards preparing for a future that is already arriving.

Welcome to Nurse AI OS.

The future needs nurses who understand both humanity and intelligence.

We intend to become them.

The same lamp, at every stage

Where are you in your nursing journey?

Every path begins with the same first step — the SOUL Quiz. Pick the card that sounds like your week, and we'll shape the rest around you.

Student Nurse

"Everyone else seems to get it faster. School has swallowed my whole life."

Build a study aid without handing over the thinking

Choose a bounded prompt that organizes your own recall and approved course objectives into a study-map draft or Socratic self-test. You verify every claim and school policy controls.

Get the student study prompt →

Staff / Bedside Nurse

"The mental load follows me home after every shift. There's nothing left for my own life."

Build one boundary for the work around the work

Configure a browser-local card for a permitted off-shift task: reset, learning, career growth, communication, shared-governance preparation, or personal organization. No patient data; every result stays a Draft for your review.

Build your Off-Shift Practice Card →

Nurse Leader / Manager

"Everyone wants an answer about AI — and after work I still have a family, a life, and no time to figure it out."

Lead with a method — at work and at home

Start with guided workflows that lighten your own load, then use the same calm, defensible method to lead AI adoption for your team: map burden, set human gates, protect your people.

Your pathway →

Nurse Educator

"My students already use AI, my prep eats my weekends — and nobody handed me a map for either."

Teach the next generation — without losing your weekends

Use AI to help with prep, drafting, and organizing while you design what only you can: mentorship, honest assignments, and ethical AI literacy for your students.

Configure a personal AI approach before you add more software

If you already have surface contact with AI but keep rebuilding context, boundaries, and evidence rules, start with the browser-local Community Preview. Build your Personal AI Practice Card for permitted, nonclinical, no-PHI Draft support—then decide whether deeper setup has earned a place.

Build your Personal AI Practice Card →

Not sure which card is you? That's what the 2-minute SOUL Quiz is for. It asks about your values and boundaries — not your tech skills — and names your first safe step.

Start without installing anything

Use what you already have. Add software only if you want more.

The core setup works in ChatGPT or Claude. Four steps get you started; the fifth is an optional upgrade for nurses who want a desktop agent working with local files and approved tools.

Take the SOUL Quiz

Spend two minutes naming your values, boundaries, and where you want help. The quiz creates a personal SOUL file that you can read, edit, save, and keep.

Build my SOUL file →

Open ChatGPT or Claude

Start a personal, no-patient-data conversation and paste in your SOUL file. It gives the AI your standing context for that conversation without connecting to your employer or work systems.

Paste this after your SOUL file:

This is my personal values-and-boundaries file. Use it as context for this conversation. Tell me what you understood about what matters to me, how I want help, and what I will never delegate. I will correct anything you misunderstood.

Download the Starter Kit

Save the folder system, practical templates, and role-based prompts on your own device. Use only the pieces that fit your life; nothing installs or runs when you download it.

Download the Starter Kit (ZIP) →

Run one useful workflow

Try a study map, weekly planning huddle, certification plan, project outline, or after-shift reflection. Review the result, correct it, and keep the parts that help.

A safe first prompt:

Ask me one question: “What is the one personal, learning, or career task weighing on you today?” Then suggest three specific ways you can help me plan, organize, draft, or learn. Do not use patient data or make clinical decisions. Wait for me to choose.

Optional: add Hermes later

Hermes is a free, open-source desktop AI agent from Nous Research. Unlike a browser chat, it can work with local folders, reusable skills, and tools you explicitly approve. Choose it when you want a more persistent workspace, not because Nurse AI OS requires it.

That's the core product: your SOUL file, workflow kit, local folder system, and safety rules used with the AI you choose. The 30-Day Roadmap, role pathways, Hermes, Notion, and advanced builder tracks are optional depth.
